If you’ve landed on this blog, chances are you’re either (A) starting a new business, (B) thinking about starting a new business, or (C) hiding from your to-do list and hoping reading a blog counts as “productivity.”
No judgment, you’re in good company. I’m a professional at productive procrastination.
But if there’s one thing I truly love, like, love more than the first sip of morning coffee that I start thinking about the night before… I know right? It’s helping people, helping people is my jam. Strawberry, specifically. But I’ll spread it thick no matter what flavor you prefer.

Why Helping People Lights Me Up
I’ve been self employed for about 20 years in the wild, wonderful world of real estate.
Yep, two decades of helping people buy homes, sell homes, dream homes, “fixer uppers, but it’ll be cute one day” if you can see the vision homes… you name it.
And here’s what I learned after thousands of showings and enough paperwork to wallpaper a three-bedroom house:

My favorite part of the job is never about the houses. Well yes, a lot of the time it is but….
Really, it is always about the people.
Their vision. Their goals. Their big ol’ dreams.
Helping someone else’s vision come to life? Ohhhh that can get me really excited!
I’ve always believed my job, whether it’s real estate, business building, or navigating life, is to bring out the brilliance in the people around me, not to stand center stage myself. I’m basically the person holding the spotlight, whispering, “You’ve got this, now go make magic.”
Starting a Business? Welcome to the Party.
Starting a business is kind of like deciding to run a marathon:
You get all hyped, tie your shoes, maybe buy a cute water bottle… and then five steps in, you realize, “Oh wow… this is a lot.” Whoops, what the bleeeep was I thinking?
Don’t worry, I think that happens to everyone! Every entrepreneur goes through that moment where chaos sneaks in the door, a little panic maybe and suddenly you’re Googling “What does LLC even mean?” at 2 a.m.
Every entrepreneur hits that “yikes” moment, the one where you realize there’s more to it than making a cute logo and ordering a planner you’ll forget to use. That’s why having someone who’s been through the trenches makes the whole journey a heck of a lot more fun.
Someone who can help guide you, brainstorm a little, and who is there to help you dodge overwhelm, tame the to-do list, and maybe even enjoy the process. One thing is for sure: I have decided that at this point, I have to have some fun if I’m dedicating so much of my life to helping people buy & sell homes and building other businesses along the way. So if you are interested in working with me in any way shape of form, get ready to have a few laughs.. why not right? If you have a great smile (which I know you do), why not show it off!
Let’s Break It Down …The Fun Way
Here are a few things I remind everyone I work with:
1. You don’t need to know everything.
Shocking, I know. But it’s true.
Google exists. YouTube exists. And hey, I exist.
You just need to know how to start, have a little grit and know how to keep going when things get weird and challenging (because they will).
2. Perfection is overrated.
Done is better than perfect.
Perfect is usually code for “I’m scared.”
And scared is fine, just don’t let it drive the car. Put it in the back seat with the dog and a chew toy.
3. Ask for help (seriously).
Successful people ask for help.
Struggling people pretend they don’t need help.
Guess which category moves faster?
4. You’re allowed to have fun.
Somewhere along the way, business got this reputation for being as exciting as watching paint dry. But the truth?
It should feel good.
It can feel good.
And if you do it right, it can actually feel like… dare I say… your jam. Yes!
Helping People Feeds My Soul (and My Sense of Humor)
The joy of supporting someone who’s brave enough to chase a new idea? That’s the good stuff. I’m all in.
Whether you need a confidence boost, a strategy, or just someone to remind you that you’re doing better than you think… you’ve found your people here. Or perhaps I’m walking through a house pointing out the “potential” (aka future Pinterest project), or sitting down with a new entrepreneur dreaming up a brand new venture, the heart of what I do is the same:
Help people see what’s possible. I love it!
Shine the light on their vision. I love it!
And make the process fun, inviting, and full of life. I love it!
So pull up a chair, grab your favorite drink (bonus points if it has whipped cream), and let’s build something great, with creativity, community, and a whole lot of jam in mind.
If you’ve made it to the end of this blog, consider it your official nudge from the universe, or at least from me with a jar of jam in hand.

Got a business idea (or even just a “maybe… someday… possibly” thought)?
Let’s connect.
Have questions? Want to brainstorm? Curious if your idea makes sense outside your shower thoughts?
Reach out anytime. I love helping people shine.
Thank you so much for stopping by and spending a few minutes here with me. Truly, it means more than you know. If something you read today made you feel seen, encouraged, or just a tiny bit more ready to chase what’s in your heart, then my job here is done. I’m always in your corner, holding the spotlight and cheering you on, because helping people really is my jam, and I’ve got plenty to spread.
